Buffalo Point Christmas Bird Count

On December 20, the annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count will take place within a 15 mile circle centered at Buffalo Point.  Volunteers are welcome.  No experience necessary, but a pair of binoculars are close "to essential ".    

Take part in the world's oldest citizen science project. The Buffalo Point count is one of thousands that will take place throughout the Western Hemisphere during the count period.

Although the count lasts all day, volunteers can participate for as many hours as they wish.  Prior registration is required.  Contact Jack Stewart to register or to ask questions.  Email: fellowshipofthewings@gmail.com

Limited free overnight accommodations are available on Thursday night (12/19).  Reservations required.  Free lodging at Toney Bend includes dormitory (bring your own sheets, blankets, pillow) style arrangements and a pizza dinner.  At 7 a brief program on the Audubon "Survival By Degrees" report will be showcased.
