Public Hearing on C&H Modification Request

ADEQ has posted notice that a public comment period opened on March 18th and will end on April 17 with a public meeting to be held at 6 pm on April 20th at the Jasper High School Cafetorium, 600 School St., Jasper, AR. The purpose of the comment period is to accept public comments on the recent permit modification requested by C&H Hog Farms.

This modification would allow C&H to use a tanker truck to dispose of waste from pond #2. Currently they are only allowed to use a sprinkler system (which they do not have operational) for pond 2 and a tanker truck on pond #1.

 BRWA contends that no modifications to the permit should be allowed until numerous, ongoing mapping errors are corrected. These maps identify where waste is to be applied.
